Bushsports Events staff - Casual and Full Employment

Treasure Hunts and adventures for groups of 10-300 people.
Presently at Bushsports, we are seeking to employ casual and full time staff required:
Outdoor Educators, Human Movement students employment, Leisure Students casuals, Students completing their teaching degrees looking for work experience. Graduate employment, Internships and work placements.
Office/Events coordinator employment:
Part time or full time. A unique and diverse role. Handling team building and corporate enquiries.
Taking bookings. Developing events and proposals. Updating websites, Coordinate programs.
A hands on role in direct liaison with managing director. Unique opportunity to take on the challenge of growing with a dynamic, adventureous and fun oriented business.
Position Adventure Bookings Coordinator: Bookings, Office Administration, Web development,
Activity Program preparation and events delivery.
Description: A thrilling job, developing adventure based, group bookings for Bushsports. Testing adventure products and being the voice of Bushsports Australia. Based in Sydney - Ryde, full or part time office adventure position.
Required: Excellent telephone skills, Computer talented with microsoft word, excel and merging documents. Excellent at liasing with operators and clients. Cheerful, youth oriented infectious enthusiasm for adventure i.e. Skydiving, Abseiling, Skiing, Canyoning, Climbing, Quad Biking, Mountain Biking, Cycling, Laser Skirmish. Ability to convey a mental picture of the experience
and sell experiences over the phone.
Desirable: Skills in web design, Apple Mac computer savvy, knowledge or experience in

CASUAL Adventure, Sports and Events Staff:
We have casual opportunities and positions according to the workload, working on both
weekdays and some weekends. We require enthusiastic capable people both who are clear communicators, professional yet personable and reliable. A passion for life, fun, adventure and games is essential! As is the ability to work with adult
groups creating a fun learning environment.
Responsibilities vary based on each event/program but will include:
- Ensure program is fully set up with attention to detail and taken down.
- Meet, Greet, Instruct and Liase with participants.
- Assist facilitators, instructors and coordinators with running of activities and event specifications.
Experience and qualifications:
- Previous experience working with adults or children in games or events, either paid or voluntary.
- Involvement and understanding of motivating people to participate in games, sports,
adventure.
- Customer service, public relations, professionalism and quality communication skills
- 1st aid - Senior level or above (can be organised).
Salary: Casual Rates from $15ph-$30ph or 1/2 day and full day rates.
Skill, qualifications & involvement dependent.
Locations: Mostly in Sydney, some events and programs in Hunter Valley, Southern Highlands,
Blue Mountains and Melbourne. Transport can be provided.

Events Employment:
Mini Olympics, Treasure Hunts, Survivor, Amazing Race programs.
Be prepared to work, setting up equipment, demonstrate initiative, direct groups of people, support other staff.
Games employment:
motivating and instructing adults to play games.
Coordinators:
Treasure Hunt if you have skills in motivating groups and teams to be active and have a lateral thinking mind with the ability to coordinate on your feet.
Facilitators Employment:
On occasion we require extra facilitators. to take our clients through a range of team building initiatives.
Work experience:
suited students with a mature outlook, we have projects for TAFE and University studies students.
Canoeing employment:
tours, games and regattas. Must be appropriately qualified i.e. Cert IV or ACF.
Abseiling and Rockclimbing employment. Must be appropriately qualified i.e. Cert IV or Pacci. Mountain Biking and Cycle Tour Guide: employment, Must be able to guide groups and have basic Bike Maintenance skills.
Assistant Staff: unsure, you are welcome to get involved for the day.

Outdoor education staff:
required for activities.
Essential: Positive outlook, Integrity, Honesty, Ability to carry out instructions, work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
Organised , Motivated, Fun with an Outgoing Nature. Team player.
Supportive of other people achieving their goals. Professional with groups. 1st aid qualifications -
minimum level is Senior First Aid and current Resuscitation (CPR).

Legalities: Employees will need to be permanent residents and or have a work visa.
Current Workers compensation is held by Bushsports.
Bushsports carries a current $10million Public liability policy.
Role of a Bushsports employee: -
Respond via email and or phone call with casual job outline.
If date, pay and skills match the program necessities we will confirm your casual employment.
Pack equipment in vehicles and or trailer/s, double check contents on checklist.
Meet at or Drive to location, possibly a beaches, conference centres, Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley,
Sydney City etc. Arrive at destination, complete site inspection, set up all equipment, supporting all staff.
Complete training, program rehearsal and overview program delivery.
Meet and greet client group - warmly, friendly providing a spark of enthusiasm.
Professionally deliver program, follow instructions with guidance of main facilitator/coordinator.
Back up and support other staff, get in and help, demonstrate initiative.
Let your natural good humour and encouragement of others shine.
Once program is complete. Pack up and check all equipment.
Debrief program. Unpack gear sign off for the day.
