Dolines which disappear underground along the bed of a once flowing stream. Plughole Adventure Cave - Beginners
An ideal cave for first-time cavers in order to become acquainted with being underground. Our guides will educate participants to understand and appreciate speleology utilising Minimal Impact Caving Techniques. Covered is cave formation, description of limestone formations (speleotherms) and karst (cave area) development. Equipment for caving and movement within caves. Experience the tranquillity of darkness and gain insight to the development of cave systems.

Once into the cave a down-climb is negotiated, then through a flattener and into an incredible chamber. Experience magic chandeliers of aragonite and helictites, suspended delicately from the ceiling. Superb cave conditions have allowed pristine white crystals to form, presenting one of the best displays of crystal pools, stalactites, stalactmites, flow-stones, shawls, flutes, straws and moonmilk in a Karst environment.

Mammoth Cave
Caves don't come any better than this! A great abseil pitch into darkness only illuminated by your headlight warms you up. Soon you enter an exquisite cave system that will challenge your skills and stamina. Become a troglodyte (human cave dweller) and squirm past precariously wedged chockstones. Ladder over once flowing waterbeds now crystallised, that will astound you. Many opportunities exist to challenge your newly developed caving skills and knowledge. The exhilaration of exiting up the ladder system is invigorating, yet rewarding!
